Voltra exists because dealerships across the country were making million-dollar decisions with fragmented data and zero visibility. That's not a workflow — it's a liability.
Jake Perlmutter co-founded Voltra because he kept seeing the same problem at dealerships across the country: little to no transparency, and data fragmented across twelve or more sources. Dealers running serious volume were making critical inventory, F&I, and staffing decisions based on incomplete pictures pulled from disconnected systems.
This wasn't a one-dealership issue. It was systemic. DMS platforms, lender portals, inventory tools, CRMs, F&I trackers, flooring sources — every vendor built their own silo. Agents working with multiple stores saw the same pattern repeated everywhere. Nobody had a unified view of the business, and nobody was building one.
The tools that existed were either built for franchise groups with dedicated IT teams, or they were surface-level dashboards that didn't go deep enough to be useful. Dealers — franchise and independent alike, the ones moving real volume — were left to piece things together manually.
Voltra was built to fix that. One platform that pulls from every source a dealer touches and gives operators, managers, and agents the transparency they've never had.
These aren't hypothetical pain points from a focus group. These are the realities we saw at store after store across the country.
DealerTrack DMS, DealerTrack F&I, VinSolutions, vAuto, Rapid Recon, StoneEagle Menu, VistaDash, Xtime, floorplan portals, reinsurance statements, CIT sheets, buying center spreadsheets. Every morning, managers piece together a picture of the business from a dozen disconnected systems. By the time they have a complete view, the morning is gone.
By the time most reporting tools spit out last month's numbers, you're already halfway through the current month. You can't adjust what you can't see in real time. Management is always reactive, never proactive.
F&I managers can't adjust what they can't see. Without daily penetration rates, the back end underperforms quietly. Without current aging data, units sit 15 days past when they should have been repriced. None of it shows up as a single big loss — it just compounds.
Voltra was co-founded by Jake Perlmutter and Tyler Staats. Jake came out of operations at Automotive Avenues, the largest independent used car dealership in New Jersey. Tyler leads engineering and security, bringing a background in public-sector software systems from Tyler Technologies. The platform was built because the founding team lived the fragmented-data problem themselves — spending hours every morning compiling numbers from a dozen vendor portals before they could even start making decisions.
Voltra connects to 12+ vendor platforms including DealerTrack, RouteOne, vAuto, VinSolutions, Rapid Recon, Xtime, StoneEagle, floorplan portals, and more. The specific integrations depend on your dealership's stack, and we add new connections regularly based on dealer needs.
No. Voltra works for franchise rooftops and dealer groups as well as independents. The data fragmentation problem exists at every size and type of dealership. Independent dealers were the first use case because they have the least OEM support for consolidated reporting, but franchise dealers and multi-rooftop groups use Voltra for the same reasons.
15 minutes. Your data. The demo is free and so is saying no. If it doesn't solve a real problem for your store, we'll tell you that ourselves.
Built by Voltra — for the dealers and agents who deserve better.
